Eagle Mountain offers quality affordable bear over bait hunts in the remote wilderness of Downeast Maine, less that one hour from New Brunswick Canada.

We have been guiding bear hunters for almost 20 years and have exclusive rights to over 40 bait sites on private land covering almost 200 square miles of prime bear habitat. Our stand sites are well established. This area of Maine has an excellent bear population, and Eagle Mountain's average bear taken is 200lbs+ most years, with a few well over 300 pounds taken or sighted yearly.

Our success rate close to 80% most years and we take full advantage of the time allowed for pre-season baiting. The majority of our rugged 2x4 framed platform stands are placed within 25 yards of the bait. You may choose from rifle, bow, muzzle loader, shotgun, handgun or crossbow.

Your guide will take you to your stand, pick you up at dark and take care of your Bear. All hunts are 6 days, fully guided. This is a hunt you won't forget. Many of our hunters are yearly repeat customers. They would be happy to talk with you about their hunts. See our reference page.

There are many recreational activities to pass the morning hours, or for those hunters who score early. Including great fishing, coyote hunting or bring your camera to photograph moose. Lots of ATV trails.
