Freshwater Fishing Driving Directions
From Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park Area
- GPS coordinates to BOAT LAUNCH: 44.680684° N -68.447189° W ... Or enter: West shore road, Otis, Me into your gps. The town dock is 1. 4 miles down this road.

If no GPS...From Bar Harbor head back into Ellsworth, follow Route 1 heading out of town toward Bangor …. just as you head out of Ellsworth you'll see the Ellsworth High School on the right, about a half mile after, bear right onto Route 179 (you'll see a place called Sunrise Glass in the fork of the road as you bear right onto 179). Sign says Route 180 and Route 179.

Follow Route 179 for 1.6 miles.

Then turn left onto Route 180 go 3.8 miles. (You will go over two bridges, Graham Lake will be on you right). Just after the second bridge you will go up a hill and then you will bear left onto the Gary Moore Road.

Follow the Gary Moore Road for 2.5 miles.

Then bear left onto the West Shore Road (this is a dirt road) go for 1.4 miles … look for the Public Boat Launch sign on the right.. pull in park in the parking area and your guide will be waiting for you on the dock. (There will be a big tan colored airplane hanger just to the right as you pull in).

Driving Directions To Wilderness Lodge
From Kittery, Maine

- Stay on I-95 (Maine turnpike) from Kittery to exit 44 merge onto 295 N
- 295 N will take you to Augusta where the Maine Turnpike & I-95 rejoin. Stay on I-95 N to Bangor's 1st exit 182A. Following signs for Bar Harbor/Acadia. This exit puts you onto I-395 E. (note: be sure to slow way down for this exit especially if hauling a trailer)
- 395 E will take you over the river and will end onto Route-1A. Merge right onto Route 1-A, still following signs for Bar Harbor, Ellsworth.
- NOTE: THERE IS A WALMART ON ROUTE 1-A IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION ABOUT ONE MILE FROM 395 LAST CHANCE FOR HUNTING LICENSES.......... BE SURE YOU BRING YOUR HOME STATE HUNTING LIC WITH YOU!
- Stay on Route1A for five miles to the first light. * SEE BELOW
- Take left at light onto Route-46 (more gas here)
- Route-46 is 5 miles long and will end at Route-9
- Take a right on Route-9 and go almost 40 miles to mile marker 246. The lodge is on the right. Can't miss it.
