Matt has been an avid sportsman all his life which led him to obtain his Master Maine Guide License in 1999. Matt guided fishermen, deer hunters, and bird hunters for some of Maine’s premier outfitters from Grand Lake Stream to Jackman all while growing his own premier outfitter, Eagle Mountain Guide Service.
EMGS has grown significantly over the past 2 decades, and has built an excellent reputation. EMGS has developed many relationships with hunters and fisherman all across the country and many of our clients are repeat customers that return year after year.
Brett Vose

Guide
Brett, a third generation Maine Guide, obtained his guide’s license at the age of 17, making him the youngest ever Registered Maine Guide at that time.
Brett grew up in the renowned fishing destination Grand Lake Stream, and has been a fishing guide there for over a decade, in addition to guiding upland bird, bear, moose, and deer. Brett is a lifelong outdoorsman and skilled tracker, and has guided with EMGS for over 10 years.
JR Mabee

Guide
JR began his guiding career as a white water guide. A highly skilled paddler, JR has won multiple national canoe races.
JR guides upland bird, bear, moose, and fishing, having guided extensively from Grand Lake Stream. JR is also a lifelong outdoorsman and skilled tracker, and has guided with EMGS for over 10 years years.
