14/15 APRIL 2025

Pretty cool day watching the last of the ice go out from camp.

With the exception of the very southern end of the lake, the entire lake is open water.

The southern end typically is the last to lose the ice due to predominate NW winds and sun direction.

Now it's time to get the boat completely ready for the water.

The War Machine got a brand new 140 hp Tohatsu motor near the end of last year's season and we are still working on getting just the right prop on her. We've been waiting for open water to conduct sea trials so we can match her up with the right prop. That will be done in the coming week. The prop on her now is fine except for wide open operation when it cavitates.

Anyhow, I'll be on the water soon.

Spring fishing dates are still available.

Book now...
